Hen’s Teeth: Pitchfork

pitchfork

Name: Minifig, Utensil Pitchfork
Color: Brown
First seen: 1984
Produced until: 1990
Catalogs: Bricklink, Peeron

Can a pitchfork be an object of desire? For large part of LEGO fan community - yes they can!. Today we will talk about such lego element,  that no decent castle creation can miss.

Pitchforks are so scarce because they appeared only in five sets, one piece in each, and their production ended 18 years ago.

Here’s the classic use of pitchforks: a castle vignette by greg3 that have won second edition of Colossal Castle Contest:

There are also fans who use pitchforks in a way LEGO designers could not even think of. Good example is Pitchfork Walker created by marakoeschtra:

    Gratulacje Longer :)

PS.

Ach, no właśnie.

Dziobas, Jan Beyer answered similar question asked by Portuguese fan:
There are some special colors and elements which only can be used by the model builders and the LEGOLANDs and are not existing in sets and are not for sale but if these bricks get out by accident or if somebody sells them you will see them somewhere. And some AFOLs try to earn money through reselling them. These bricks in special colors are quite expensive to produce. But there are also parts e.g. in red (ghost, train tracks and other elements) which are normally not existing and these parts are test mouldings which should never leave the company but obviously sometimes they do (got stolen or illegally sold) so this is not good.
