During the LUGPol’s event in Kielce, Misterzumbi autographed the set that will be one of the prizes in our Indiana Jones Contest (voting still open, go for it). The winner will get not only a new set in a signed box, but also unique instruction booklet with Misterzumbi’s drawing.

I know. You have been waiting for his like for ages. My apologies. It was a tough call. But finally, we have selected the top creations for all categories. Now - your turn. Review the entries and vote for your favorite one. Here are the links:
Voting will end August 7th, at 21:59:59 GMT
As you remember, almost a week ago we closed the submissions for our Indiana Jones Contest. There were many very interesting creations entered - you can see all of them by clicking these links:
Please, verify if your creation is on the list. Some creations do not fulfill some requirements described in the rules. We have marked them with separate color and described what should be fixed. Most common errors are: too many images in the gallery and too large images. Please, fix it so your creations may take part in the further phases of the contest.
Unfortunately, due to private issues, we are forced to postpone the moment when we announce the 10 best entries from each group. We plan to do it in mid July. We’re very sorry about that. The only advantage of that situation is this, that you have enough time to fix your entries - please be ready by July 13th.
We are now accepting submissions for Indiana Jones Building Contest. Head over to our entry submission form and post your entry!
Please, before submitting, be sure to doublecheck the contest rules and read the questions and answers thread. Good luck!

From time to time we feel that we have to deal with some topics even if they are controversial. This time let me share with you my thoughts on the issue of copying our models. No doubt you have been exposed to this problem in one way or another. In my view there three layers to this issue.
1. Someone makes a copy of our model for his own, private use.
2. Someone makes a copy of our model and presents it as their own.
3. Someone makes a copy of our model , presents it as their own and somehow gets some profit out of this.
And now for the controversial part: I have no problem with my models being copied using any of these scenarios.
In a first case I can only feel satisfaction that someone liked my creations much as to copying it.
Scenario two still makes me proud even if the copy cat is simply rude and lying.
And you probably noticed the pattern by now - yes, in scenario three I’m still proud that I’m the better builder. If someone managed to make a profit (really?!) out of it - good for him, I don’t think I could support myself by building brick models. And this is precicely the point: this is my hobby and I will treat it as such. If at any time I find that it may be something more serious I will probably change my mind. Right now I’m herewith giving my permission to anyone to copy my models. If I may, I would like to recommend my latest MOC German Steam Locomotive BR01.

I do understand that most of you would have different view, I would like to invite editors of this blog to join the discussion and I’m particulary interested in your comments. When I asked Hippotam what his thoughts were he replied “I would probably have a stroke if someone copied my Red Baron and presented it as their own” We certainly wouldn’t like this!

OK, people, time to close the list of candidates for LEGO Ambassador. Who should represent readers of Klocki? You really made it easy for us - you have selected only one person - Hippotam.
It may sound crazy, but we would like to have a poll anyway. Why? To count ourselves. Let’s provide the LEGO Group (who probably never heard of Klocki) the numer of people supporting Hippotam. This should improve our chances to get our man in the final 30.
Mr Dwarf and myself already voted, now it’s time for you !!!

Wooohoo! We did it! We did it! We granted a wish!
Last sunday, our action found it’s happy ending. During the last month, Mam Marzenie foundation worked hard to grant a wish of 10-years old Piotrek, which was to get the complete collection of LEGO City sets. Thanks to your donations and thanks to sponsors, foundation raised a lot of money. And thanks to Misterzumbi and all good people at LEGO, a huuuge parcel full of LEGO sets arrived from Billund!
When everything was ready, a team made of foundation’s volunteers and LUGPol member Rumcajs started the last undercover task.
As you know, the best presents are surprise ones, so with the help of the parents, kids was sent to granma for some time. When they returned home, they could hardly enter their room, now filled with LEGO sets. The joy and emotions of this moment can not be described.

And then, the fun begun. First - moving the boxes to the attic, where was enough empty space. Hopefully, there were some strong and sprightly volonteers to help!

And finally - building. As you can see on the pictures, Piotrek was not the one who forgot about the whole world!

I would like to express my greatest respect to volunteers: Joasia, Michał, Marcin and Rumcajs (Michał) and all the staff of Mam Marzenie foundation. Great thank-you goes to LUGPol members, readers of Klocki, LEGO Billund staff, sponsors and all other good people I do not know about who helped this dream come true. You rock people. You really do….
And, like this was not enough happy news, according to our sources, Piotrek’s test resuts are good, he feels better and everything seem to head back on track! Piotrek, if you are reading this - we wish you to get healthy soon and are looking forward to seeing your LEGo City and in the future - your own creations!
Head over to our gallery to see all the photos taken on that special day.
Since LEGO announced new cycle of LEGO Ambassadors, we can observe a “coming out” of communities everywhere. Online forums, flickr groups, even blog readers, everyone is discussing about their LEGO Ambassador nominations.
We were asking ourselves: are we - readers and writers of Klocki, a community? After giving it a thought we think we are!
We share the common interests, get together here every day, communicate, comment and even confess some dirty little secrets. In one of our polls, 68 people confessed here they played with LEGO while having sex! You don’t tell such things to strangers, do you? (By the way, we’d like to see these creations. Or maybe not…)
So, since we are a community, we have a right to nominate our candidates for Ambassadors. Who should represent Klocki? Let the discussion begin!
It’s been a year since we have a contest at Klocki. So here it is, we give you Indiana Jones Building Contest!
