Joe Meno in space!

Mark Stafford (Nabii) suprises me with the selection of colors and parts he builds his space fighters with. Good examples are two models that Mike posted today on Brickshelf. First, is a steampunkish bi-plane named Iron Hawk - uses the useless Bionicle parts:

Second one is in blue and lime. I would never thought of building a blue-lime spaceship. And yet - it looks amazing. Jomeno fighter is a joint design of Mark and Joe Meno, editor of BrickJournal. Cool name for a fighter, BTW.

Japanese again

I guess only I had problems with japanese MOCs presented last week. In this case you`ll surely enjoy this steampunk robot Black King by mino. Be sure to check out his gallery!

Policeman and thieves!

It was rather exciting weekend with all these fantastic MOCs presented for our new game Policemen and Thieves. Below you can check out just a selection of vehicles used by both sides of the conflict.

This year our game has only been available in Polish. We hope to test the rules and interactions to the limits and hopefully present it in English next year.

If Verne invented Star Wars…

Let’s go back to steampunkers for a moment because amazing stuff is shown over there. Mark Stafford buils a version of Naboo Starfighter.

What I like most about it is the use of Bionicle parts. They just perfectly fit there!

Steam Wars

AFOLs and Star Wars fans gathered around FBTD portal have their Steam Wars contest held this month. Let’s take a look at some of the amazing models presented there.

Steam Wars

The idea of contest is to build a steampunk version of the vehicles known from Star Wars. Steampunk is an alternate future where coal and steam is a main technology, instead of electricity.

First model, by Rebel Rock is of course a steampunk TIE Fighter:

Steam Tie

Chris Doyle prepared an alternative version of Millennium Falcon:

Head over to Chris website, he published there all details of the model, including the video.

Linus Bohman submitted completely crazy version of a pod racer:

These strange engine covers are made frol MEGO tyres, put inside-out.

One of mose recognizable SW vehicles is imperial shuttle. Here is how it looks in steampunk version designed by thwaak:

Imperial London Shuttle

I very much like the fact that despite all the changes, the shuttle is still elegant and noble, like the original. And the wings lift up as well.

Also old good Y-Wing have it’s steam version, build by Larry-Lars:

The contest is still on, so we may expect more fantastic entries.
