Black Nnenn

Another great space speeder from Nnenn:

I am most impressed with the parts used - castle walls panels are rarery seen in space model. Last time I remember it was Jerac’s Scorpion.

Eddie the bum

Here’e Eddie. You probably know him, ’cause all Eddies look similar. No home, no job, wondering in the city hoping to find something worth putting into his cart… Pictured by V1:

Do you want to go to Legoland?

To commemorate the 50 years of LEGO bricks, LEGO itself and Toys ‘R’ Us organized an international contest to choose the Lego Boy from each country entrant. This boy (or girl :) ) has to be no more than 12 years old and has to participate in the construction of a birthday cake for Lego in the 10 and 11 May in the Toys ‘R’ Us store. The best ones will be selected and will go to a final contest. The chosen one will go to Denmark with his family to participate in the big Lego Boy International event.

This contest is happening in Portugal. I want to know if it is happening in your countries as well?

11 wheels & ZED

Some models make me think only one - ‘I want that on my desk !!’ . One beauty of that kind - KrAZ 6322 + 2A36 Giatsint-B 152-mm artillery model - was build by ZED.

KrAZ 6322 + 2A36 Giatsint-B 152-mm artillery

The model not only looks very much like the real one, it also has some nice functions of the real truck. Just check moving front wheels or working rear suspension - which both apparently starting to be a standard in minifig-scaled cars.

Let my armies be the rocks and the trees and the birds in the sky…

This is fast! We did not even started to accept entries and Piotrek Builder delivers his first Indy vignette built for our contest!

Lat my armies...

You probably remember this scene. Dr. Jones uses thee flock of seagulls to take down a Nazi fighter. Cool!

Even wizard can have holidays

What do a wizard do, when is not busy with saving the world, searching for a philisopher’s stone or cooking a love potion? Crises shows us his vision in this colorful vignette:

Wizard's holidays

Also, the brave, heroic knights have also a right to rest, like this one pictured by Majek

Warrior's holidays

Did you noticed that the knight has more muscles than the standard minifig torso allows?

Oldsmobile Regency Ninety Eight by Misterzumbi

Misterzumbi is busy. Misterzumbi does not have time for bricks. Or cars. I know this is a bit egoistic, but I hope it’s his job what keeps him busy…

A few rare moments of free time he had during the last three months, Misterzumbi invested in this cool model of Oldsmobile:

Oldsmobile

Oldsmobile

I think I will be better if I just let Misterzumbi speak (translation of his LUGPol post):

“If you say say this car has twisted proportions, you are probably right - this car is from cult German cartoon “Werner”. There are two versions of it, and the model is more or less a mixture of both. First version is obviously the one designed for the movie and there a lot of it in brick-built model - the color, the details. Front skull is missing, but I did not figured out how to build it, and finally I decided that whatever I built it would look crappy.

But Roetger Feldmann who is a “father” of Werner, thought it would be cool to have such beauty in real life, in his garage. Together with his brother Andi obtained an Oldsmobile and made this already long monster a half a meter longer - both sides. The real one is dirty-brown plus rust, lacks the skull but instead has a wooden back platform which I build ’cause I liked it…”

And here’s how this car looks in the movie:

Community?

txt149x055ambassadorlogo.gifSince LEGO announced new cycle of LEGO Ambassadors, we can observe a “coming out” of communities everywhere. Online forums, flickr groups, even blog readers, everyone is discussing about their LEGO Ambassador nominations.

We were asking ourselves: are we - readers and writers of Klocki, a community? After giving it a thought we think we are!

We share the common interests, get together here every day, communicate, comment and even confess some dirty little secrets. In one of our polls, 68 people confessed here they played with LEGO while having sex! You don’t tell such things to strangers, do you? (By the way, we’d like to see these creations. Or maybe not…)

So, since we are a community, we have a right to nominate our candidates for Ambassadors. Who should represent Klocki? Let the discussion begin!

If Jerac and Nannan…

If Jerac and Nannan were brothers, we would see probably more mash-up beauties like that - Scharnvirk fighter:

Scharvirk

But since they are not, we can see it only when Jerac spends to much time in Nannan’s gallery. I wonder what would happen if Nannan took inspiration from Jerac’s masterpieces…

Do minifigs dream of electric trucks?

For some time now I have been wondering what minifigs really do when we don’t watch them. V1 gives of of the possible explanations.

Over next few weeks I’m going to ask you even more fundamental question: Do minifigs dream of summer vacations?
